‘Fading Portrait’ is a self-portrait, painted whilst a gentle low sun-light shone across my face.
My face is cast in shadow and hidden in bright silver light. Painted with feathery brushstrokes and sponged layers drawn across the canvas whilst wet.
My eyes turned down to the floor hoping to focus and calm my nystagmus.
